1.
Life's a strange thing to waste away With all of its bills and no way to pay All its thrills lost through the days Left like hubcaps on the highway Bind our thoughts till they're the right shape Such shallow goals for hairless ape More Earth Imagine all experience we could have If weren't bogged down by the latest facts By ads that grab our unconsciousness thoughts By new info that's best when it's hot learned absorbed and then forgot Imagine all the stories we have lost More Earth If this body didn't slow so heavily If desire didn't retire so mechanically If knowledge and wisdom came way before Death was knocking at your front door If freedom had felt as good as it sounds Imagine just how much we'd get around
2.
The forest moves When no one's around It breathes and walks Through an older plane The mountains move While we sleep They stretch and sink Into deeper a dream Than the night believes We're the ones that stay the same As the planet spins through the age As oceans rise And prairies whistle The sapien stagnates In its life Moss in the camp clearing Sunlight laid upon the valley bed I wanna step over the hills In single strides See it all through giants eyes Or become a gnome among the tall flowers Climbing the heights of a root reaching out of the earth Sleep on a bed of rain We're the ones that stay the same As the planet spins through the age As oceans rise And prairies whistle The sapien stagnates In its life
3.
Share the moon share the rain Share the truth and share the pain As the universe looks on To the earth a vagabond Spinning past the burning sun Inferno bound moribund Circling what it means To be alive and to be free Everything that ever turned out right Was once a glimmer in your eye Everything that ever turned out right Was once a glimmer in your not so shinny eyes A dreamers work is never done A thousand years under the sun A dreamers work is never done
4.
I wrapped broken China plates In a pretty gift wrapped box I stood with darting eyes With melons bought to drop I said I lost a ring And I'll pay a steep reward I said my wife's in labor But I got no gas in my Ford I want you to come with me Facts are hard, emotions all you need Why don't you come with just me The truth's a thing you never would believe Well I had the winning ticket Got the Globe and Mail for proof Got all sorts of crazy charms For the rocks raining on your roof I'm a Nigerian prince But my funds are all held up I can't pay the tab since My friend has not shown up I want you to come with me Facts are hard, emotions all you need Why don't you come with me I mean no harm in fact I mean nothing I mean nothing No not a thing Join my side take your mind for a ride I don't mean a thing Not a thing Fall asleep to these post-truth offerings That mean nothing Not a thing

about

For the Release Show of "Post-Truth Lullabies" I wanted to get all the crazy instruments I used for the album and set them up all around the Lido so they could be there for the release. They did a lot of the work and wanted to be there. Only some of them were played for the actual show but afterwards we spread the rumour of a possible jam... and luckily Matt hit record before it exploded. People shook and hit everything in sight. It was marvellous. Somewhere in there I decided to start singing on top of the chaos and we came out with the recording of Forest Moves.

The rest of the songs on the Ep were not spontaneous. We practiced those. Though we didn't know where "Thousand Years" would go. And it got spookier than planned.
